From London to Amsterdam

I’m writing from an Airbnb in Amsterdam at 2:27 am. The day started out with packing up our backpacks (we got our traveling bags from REI and chose the Gregory brand). We carried our bags around London and made our first stop at a brunch place – what you do if you can’t decide between breakfast or lunch and it’s already 13:00. I ordered the best breakfast sandwich that actually had properly made scrambled eggs! Look up the Gordon Ramsey way of making scrambled eggs and it will blow your mind! It was impossible to eat because it was overstuffed with eggs, sausage, cheese, and avocado, but I’m not complaining. I may have also had the best “iced coffee” ever because it had the consistency of a frapp and the taste of coffee ice cream!

After our lovely brunch, we walked through Hyde Park which seemed like it went on infinitely. It was gorgeous and not to mention the weather in London was unusually warm and sunny.

After saying our goodbyes to our amazing hostess and friend Jess we hopped on the train back to the Lutton airport. The views from the train tracks made me want to come back to London to be able to go out into the country side for a while. It was just endless rolling hills and a few houses here and there.

We got to the airport with plenty of spare time. All I can say is I’m glad I’ve been able to do this with my best friend and love of my life. We can’t wait to explore Amsterdam together! (Just finished eating chicken kabob from a falafel place that just happened to be open… Time to sleep)… 🙂
